Installation Requirements
Gather Tools And Materials
These tools include a screwdriver, wrench set, Teflon tape, sealant, and a voltmeter. The materials needed include a new pool pump, a pump strainer housing, PVC piping, and pipe connectors.
Turn Off Power And Drain The Pool
Switch off the power from the circuit breaker connected to the pool pump.
Remove The Old Pump
Disconnect the electrical wires from the old pump using the voltmeter to ensure there is no electrical current.
Install The New Pump
Position the new pump inside the strainer housing and secure it with bolts or screws.
Reconnect Electrical Wires
Connect the electrical wires to the appropriate terminals on the new pump (refer to the manufacturer’s guide for details).
Fill The Pump With Water And Check For Leaks
Fill the pump strainer basket with water to help the pump self-prime. Then turn on the power and let the pump run for a few minutes to check for leaks.
